The first social media reactions to the series Loki can be seen. And they paint a clear picture of what we can expect from Marvel Studios’ new series on Disney+. It seems that this new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is also very good.
That’s not an easy feat, especially after WandaVision on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, two completely unique series. But if the first reactions are any indication, this is the best addition to the Marvel Studios movie universe yet.
The first reactions
As always, we take a look at the reactions that have appeared on social media to the series. You can expect the reviews next Tuesday, because that day the embargo on publishing the actual reviews will expire.
Of course you can also expect an article from us with the most important developments of the series.
It’s also fair to say that one of the biggest takeaways from #Loki is that @iamkateherron and @michaelwaldron are an #MCU dream team. @twhiddleston and #OwenWilson are phenomenal on screen together too, and #MissMinutes? I LOVE her. pic.twitter.com/X1mtujsZgn

I only saw the first two episodes, but if the show maintains this level of quality, we are in for something special.

#LOKI (2/2) – Tons of great new characters, including a phenomenal Owen Wilson. Director @iamkateherron and Head Writer @michaelwaldron have really done an incredible job, this show is simply outstanding.

… and them on screen together is something we should hope lasts for several seasons.
Marvel’s time-travel rules & explanations are still mega questionable and there’s a layer of mystery which I hope leads to something bigger and more detailed since the TVA is so weird. (2/2) pic.twitter.com/PHcDLdHzBk

I am burdened with glorious purpose…to tell you I’ve seen the first two episodes of #Loki & they are a BLAST!! Tom Hiddleston is excellent, it’s so fun to see him really revel in this role. Owen Wilson is also super delightful. Marvel delivers a true sci-fi, time travel romp. pic.twitter.com/NdKCSO6XbP

Loki takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame and shows how the God of Mischief, who escaped with the Tesseract, ends up at the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority). It gives him a choice: either you help clean up the timeline, or you are removed from existence.
Loki naturally grabs that opportunity with both hands. We will be able to see where this all leads every Wednesday for the next six weeks.
