The Marvel Cinematic Universe consists of movies, series, specials and animated series. The films appear on the silver screen, the rest on Disney +. Marvel Studios’ animation department made in addition to the extensive What If…? also the short episodes of I Am Groot.
Quite unexpectedly, Marvel Studios now comes with the news that the second season will be put on Disney + in early September. The first season was released last year on August 10 with five episodes.
Season 2
The second season from writer and director Kirsten Lepore again contains five episodes. We see Baby Groot in action again, voiced by Vin Diesel.
Little Groot experiences adventures that take place after Guardians of the Galaxy. Vol 2 from 2017. So there is little chance that those adventures will have an impact on the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios has now put the first trailer for the second season online, as well as a poster. You can watch the episodes from September 6 Disney+ start streaming.
