Marvel shares infographic with Captain America’s shield timeline in the MCU

The British Division of Marvel has posted on their official Instagram account a curious and comprehensive infographic with the complete Captain America shield timeline, with the most important moments that Steve Rogers’ famous and powerful vibranium shield has passed through. It’s a graphic you can see in full below that collects and controls the key points that said shield went through throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The story of Captain America’s shield

This curious infographic shows the main appearances of the shield from its inception to its current state, in the hands of Sam Wilson, the new Captain America after the events of the Falcon and Winter Soldier series. So, the story of Cap’s shield begins in the hands of Howard Stark after he made it with vibranium and delivered it to Steve Rogers for WWII.

After decades frozen with Rogers, Shield returns to action in Avengers, not without reference to the time jump in Avengers Endgame in which Captain America faces off. Soon after Tony Stark would improve the armor with electromagnetic capabilities. Mention is also made of the confiscation of the shield and the subsequent delivery by Agent 13, the theft of Spider-Man in Civil War or the scratch of Black Panther. Although the shield would go through its most delicate phase when it was split in half by Thanos.

It wasn’t until the end of Endgame that an old Steve Rogers would appear to deliver his shield to Sam Wilson (with a new design included), which would give rise to the plot of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, passing into the hands of John Walker and once again finding himself in charge of Falcon as the new Captain America. What new adventures does Cap’s shield contain in the already announced Captain America 4?
