‘Mrs. Marvel’ is not the first series or film from Marvel – and by extension of mother house Disney – to be postponed. Disney has also postponed a lot of other superhero movies in recent months. But also a new ‘Star Wars’ series, a remake of ‘Pinocchio’ with Tom Hanks and the new ‘Indiana Jones’ movie. Most postponed dates are still due to the consequences of the corona crisis, which caused a lot of production delays.

The latest ‘Star Wars’ movie has also been delayed. ‘Rogue Squadron’ was set to release in December 2023, but Disney pulled the film off the schedule on Monday. The reason would be that director Patty Jenkins cannot get started with the film in 2022 as previously planned. She also has two more projects planned with actress Gal Gadot: a film about Cleopatra and a third part of their successful ‘Wonder Woman’ series. It’s not clear whether both titles have now taken precedence over the ‘Star Wars’ movies.
