Marvel: Hugh Jackman asked to take steroids to play Wolverine, the actor replies

Hugh Jackman’s muscle gain for his role as Wolverine in the ‘X-Men’ movie saga has long been debated, with some suspecting the actor resorted to steroids. Asked about it on the American channel HBO, the Australian actor claims he has never used such products.

Everything is natural. In the American program “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace” broadcast on the channel HBO extension, the journalist asked Hugh Jackman the question that continues to fuel the debate on the actor’s ability to take on so much muscle in record time, to embody the character of Wolverine in the X-Men film saga. “In recent years, people have asked, was he on drugs? Did he take steroids?” Chris Wallace asked him during their interview. A question the Australian actor agreed to answer.

“No, I love my job. And I love Wolverine. I have to be careful what I say but I was once told what the side effects were. And I said ‘I don’t like it’. So no, I did things the old-fashioned way. And I’ll tell you, I’ve eaten more chicken… My apologies to vegetarians and vegans, and to all the chickens in the world. Karma is clearly not in my favor. If God has anything to do with chickens, I’m going to be in trouble,” she replied.

Hugh Jackman will soon take on the role of Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’, alongside Ryan Reynolds. Shooting for the film is expected to begin in the spring. The theatrical release is scheduled for November 6, 2024 in France.
