Mohanlal, the host of the show, said that strict action will be taken against the director Akhir Marar who abused the murdered tribal youth Madhu in Bigg Boss Malayalam. Mohanlal has announced this in the promo of the weekend episode of Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 contestant Akhil Marar used the name of a young man who was a martyr of hunger with sarcasm. Mohanlal said in the show’s promo video that “one of the contestants made fun of his martyred brother Madhu by mentioning his name, which was extremely regrettable and should not have happened. We will speak to the contestant and take further action in this regard.” It can be seen in the video that Mohanlal is also asking for an explanation from Akhil Marar who made such a remark.

Akhil Marar is making fun of Madhu’s name during this week’s task of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 which is completing its second week. Akhil makes an abusive reference to another contestant Sagar Suriya, who has appeared as Meesha Madhavan in the task of imitating the characters of the film. When Meesha Madhavan’s character steals food items during the task, he says ‘Didn’t I tell you to steal food? who are you honey Don’t steal the rest. Akhil was saying that if you steal food, Madhu’s situation will come. At the same time, the director laughed at the other contestants of Bigg Boss.
This then led to discussions in Bigg Boss related groups and other groups. Later, the discussion took to social media and turned into a controversy. Following this, Disha filed a complaint against the director for making abusive remarks against the murdered tribal youth. Disha informed that the complaint has been filed with the police, SC and ST Commission and Indian Broadcasting Foundation.
Attapadi Madhu case
Thirty-year-old Madhu was killed in a mob attack on February 22, 2018. Accusing him of being a thief, the mob took Madhu to Mukali in Attapadi and brutally beat him up. Madhu was already dead by the time the police arrived and shifted him to the primary health centre.
In the controversial Madhu murder case, the Mannarkkad Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Special Court had sentenced the accused on March 4. The court sentenced the 13 accused in the case to seven years rigorous imprisonment and sentenced the first accused Hussain to seven years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,05,000. Two accused in the case were acquitted. The court acquitted the fourth accused Anish and the eleventh accused Abdul Karim.
