Mārtiņš Sesks Struggles in Second Stage of ERC Rally Islas Canarias – Finishes 24th Overall

The second stage of the European Rally Championship (ERC) in the Canary Islands was the first asphalt rally of this season with pilot Mārtiņš Seskas supported by “Latvijas Mobilais Telefons” with the car new “Toyota Yaris GR Rally2” served by “Sports Racing Technologies” ” and tires “MRF Tires”. “The weekend in the Canary Islands was difficult due to different conditions. Some of them were out of my influence and Renard’s influence. The main lesson we can take home is that mistakes and challenges always provide an opportunity to learn. Every kilometer we did with Renard analyzing the track records was very valuable. Also, I can always count on cooperation with the car engineer and our service team, the work we do together is a valuable experience for starting on the asphalt in the future,” said ERČ pilot Martiņš Sesks.

The team spends the beginning of June to the beginning of the third stage of the ERC for training in the car “M-Sport” “Ford Puma Rally 1” to prepare for the start of the World Rally Championship in Poland at the end of June. From June 13-15, the residents of Liepāja will participate in the third competition of the ERČ season “Royal Rally of Scandinavia” and later they will start in the fourth stage of the ERČ “Rally Estonia” (5-7 July). The third and fourth stages of ERČ will be held on the terrain preferred by the Latvian team.
