The video clip of Mārtiņš Kanter’s (formerly Ruskis) song “Visi ceļi ved uz Rom” has been released, which makes viewers wonder – is it really Rome? No, it’s not, but the lady in the clip is really Martin’s wife, Žanete.
The sunniest of the songs from Mārtiņš Kanter’s latest album “Glezna” (it was released in May, the album includes new songs by Raimond Paul with the words of Ojārs Vācieš, Jānis Peters and Guntar Račas), which appeals to the audience also at Mārtiņš’s concerts, is the song “Visi ceļi ved uz Rome”. Its video was filmed in Old Riga, but the scenes shown in it are so reminiscent of Italy that an uninitiated person might get confused. “Once the Maestro told me this – before you publish a song, play it in several concerts and you will see if it makes sense to waste time. I have sung this song several times and I can say that by the second song most of the listeners are already singing along. In my opinion, the song turned out to be very bright, light and full of love. I hope the listeners will feel this love.”
The author of the video direction is Mārtiņš himself, but Kaspars Kambars filmed and edited it. The singer’s partner in the video is also his partner in real life, Martiņš’s wife Žanete, who can be seen both on the album cover and previously also participated in the video of the song “White Morning”.
