The man was placed in pre-trial detention on the same day that the investigation against him opened, August 2, 2024. He was reportedly charged with incestuous rape committed on a minor under the age of 15 and incestuous sexual assault on a minor under the age of 15.
The information was confirmed by the Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) prosecutor’s office. Martinican singer and musician Raymond Ouamba has been in pre-trial detention at the Baie-Mahault penitentiary center since August 2, 2024.
