Belgian coach Roberto Martinez gave his opinion on Friday evening on Romelu Lukaku’s situation at Chelsea.
The striker has struggled to acclimate to the Premier League since moving from Inter Milan to Chelsea last summer, and he is reportedly looking to force his way back to Inter at the moment.
The management of the Blues would not be against the idea of selling its center forward, but it prefers to give it up to Bayern Munich or FC Barcelona because these two clubs are eyeing a permanent transfer unlike the Nerazzurri who are hoping for a loan.

“Lukaku will handle this situation well”
Martinez said of his number 1 goalscorer: “We haven’t talked about his future, but what is certain is that he really wanted to come back and play for the national team. I didn’t spoke to Romelu about his future, but he’s going to handle the situation well because it’s not the first time this has happened to him in his career.”
Then, when asked if Inter could be a destination this summer, Martinez replied: “Regarding a possible return to Italy, I don’t have enough information to comment on the subject.”
Lukaku started Friday in Belgium’s match against the Netherlands in the Nations League (1-4). But he only stayed on the pitch for 26 minutes. He left early due to an ankle injury.
