The trend of ordering culinary meals for home delivery emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic and has become an important new way for customers to elevate their at-home dining experience, regardless of where they are in the country. This is evident from the 100,000 customers that SOUS served this year, an impressive growth of no less than 300% compared to last year. Not entirely unexpected, given the recent survey of Royal Horeca Netherlands, in which almost 40% of restaurants indicate that they celebrate Christmas at home and close their restaurant for various reasons.
