Martinka here, Martinka there. Vilma gets on Vendula’s nerves with the fact that she prefers a practically foreign girl to her own granddaughter. But Martina doesn’t have it easy either, she wakes up to a new day with a brain that, according to her, is barely one-third functioning. Just when she’s hungover, the mayor has to ring her doorbell.
Martina’s hangover ruins her romance with Jirka
Combining red wine with rum was not the best idea, Martina will come to this in a very unpleasant way during Wednesday morning. While Vendula is in a miserable mood, but still fresh for a long time, Miss Dubovská is only reluctantly getting out of bed and fighting a hangover. In addition, Jirka Hložánek stops by to pick up his bike. The message that Martina sent him the previous evening sounds different than intended due to the autocorrect. Jirka will understand from her that she should get ready for the bike as soon as possible. A disheveled and wrinkled Martina timidly explains to him that she simply wanted to see him. They finally clarify how they feel about each other, but the young cook, disgusted with herself, doesn’t even want to be kissed. She hasn’t had time to brush her teeth yet, and she doesn’t want to risk Jirko finding her disgusting, so she’d better unpack him. Luckily, he’s rushing to a work meeting anyway, but promises to be back in the afternoon.
Martina lights up with excitement before realizing how miserable she feels after yesterday. He goes to see his mom at the pub and asks her for help. But Katerina does a strange thing. He pours her another shot of rum, saying that evil must be driven out by evil again. Martina reluctantly turns the stamper on herself and from that moment on she will practically vomit all the time. So when Jirka reappears in the afternoon, as agreed, he greets him with an even more unhappy expression than before. She apologizes to him that she is very sick and that it would be best if they postpone their romantic encounter until tomorrow. But on Thursday, Jirka has to leave for work, so it seems that fate simply does not wish this couple well.
