The combinations
For each weekend there are 37 points up for grabs, but the Spaniard here in Sepang would still need to reach +38 because in the event of an equal points finish the successes on Sunday count and Pecco – with 9 victories against 3 – is unattainable . Otherwise, the combinations are different: in the event of a new fall for the Piedmontese, Martin would be sufficient to finish in seventh position; if instead Pecco finishes 15th, Jorge is the world champion with 6th place, the Italian 14th and the other 5th, and so on.
