Martin Scorsese Directs New Chanel Advertisement Starring Timothée Chalamet

Before a future collaboration in the cinema?

Martin Scorsese is preparing to return in the coming months with a new film, Killers of the Flower Moon, fresco of more than 3 hours which will be presented at the next Cannes Film Festival, before a French release scheduled for October 18. Meanwhile, he was seen this week filming a commercial in his hometown of New York.

The filmmaker is not at his first attempt in the production of advertisements: since 1986, he has produced two for the Armani brand, one for Apple, and of course the famous spot for Bleu de Chanel with Gaspard Ulliel.

Scorsese seems to have found his new muse in the person of Timothée Chalamet. The director was seen on the set of a new advertisement for Chanel’s Bleu perfume, giving indications to the Franco-American comedian.

Chalamet was spotted near the window of a building next to the filmmaker, gazing lasciviously ahead of him as a camera caught him, dressed in a white tank top. He was also spotted on the streets of New York for further filming. On several photos, we can also glimpse Francesca Scorsese, daughter of the director. She was to appear alongside Timothée Chalamet in Bones and All by Lucas Guadagnino, released last November, for which she shot a few scenes before being finally cut during editing.

While waiting for the advertisement, Killers of the Flower Moon will be released in French theaters on October 18, 2023, after an out-of-competition presentation at Cannes on May 20.

Killers of the Flower Moon: the new Martin Scorsese finally shorter than The Irishman?
