Martin Reinertsen: – Shares good news:

Oslo boy Martin André Reinertsen (28) received a lot of attention for his participation in the first season of the dating program “Love Island” in 2018. He admittedly did not quite reach the top, and was sent out towards the end of the program – without having found the big love.

However, that does not mean that the 28-year-old was not a sought-after guy. After the stay in Gran Canaria, Reinertsen received enormous attention from the ladies, and no less than 200 letters of proposal.

In the end, it was Caroline Norlin (24) who captured Reinertsen’s heart. They have been a couple since last year, and have since then regularly shared photos together on social media.

In March, the couple was also able to share the good news that they were expecting their first child together. They both did so on Instagram, where it was revealed that they were to become the parents of a girl.

– Heartwarming

And now the little one has come into the world, the couple reveals on Instagram. In a post on Monday this week, Reinertsen wrote that the daughter saw the light of day on Sunday 25 July.

The 28-year-old describes the last few days as exciting and educational for See and Hear.

– It has been a fantastic experience and emotional to see her come into the world, and not least hold her in her arms. I have tried to imagine what it would be like, but it is something completely different to experience it. It was very heartwarming and nice. Everything has gone absolutely great and we are very happy about that, says the newly-baked father.

Now they will use the coming time to get into routines. The 28-year-old can also reveal that the newborn has received a warm welcome from the family’s four-legged friend, a chihuahua.

– He has already taken a protective role, and it is beautiful to see, Reinertsen says.

Stayed together this fall

– How did you prepare?

– We have made the preparations that are normal to do. We have bought a cot, pram and changing table. We also had a very nice baby shower some time ago where we got very nice gifts. Then it was really just to prepare for how it would be, explains the former “Love Island” participant.

He started earlier this year as a project manager in the Netthandelsgruppen, and also works as an independent consultant. Norlin studies social anthropology at the University of Oslo.

– We found each other on Instagram, it was very cozy. We talked when Caroline was on holiday in Zakynthos in Greece in 2019. Then I was in Oslo. I then took a master’s degree in Sweden, so we did not get to meet each other much. Then we met again last fall, and then we got together.

– Adult points

Already in January this year, they became cohabitants, and since then things have gone from strength to strength for Reinertsen and Norlin. Reinertsen received a lot of attention from the ladies after the TV participation, but says that it has become much calmer now.

– It happens that I am recognized, but it is of course much calmer than it was before. It is completely natural and okay, but it was fun to be on “Love Island” at the time. It was a positive experience, but I’m glad I’ve found my loved one now.

– Could you imagine more TV?

– I’m probably done with dating programs, but if there are any fun TV offers such as “The Farm” or “71 degrees north”, then I could join. We have also looked at “Sommerhytta”, which could also be fun to be a part of. But we have a little one to take care of, so it does not quite fit into our lives now, says Reinertsen.

He also says that there have been many changes in his life since he participated in “Love Island” in 2018, and explains that things have now started to fall more into place.

– “Love Island” was nice at the time, but I probably got significantly more adult points since then. I enjoy my job and the tasks I have there. Now I have a home office, and then I also have the opportunity to be at home with Caroline, he says in the closing newspaper.
