Martín Pradenas’ lawyer, Gaspar Calderón, announced that he is preparing a new appeal to establish the freedom of his client. Yesterday, the appeal for protection that sought to revoke the preventive detention of the young man accused of various sexual crimes was rejected.
In this way, the young man will remain incarcerated in the Llancahue Penitentiary Complex, in the city of Valdivia, while the investigation is being carried out.
In conversation with the newspaper The Austral of Temuco, the professional advanced that they will “resort to a higher court to enforce the corresponding guarantees.”

“The ruling of the Court of Appeals of Temuco is very clear, and establishes that there are no guarantees for my client and, with that, that the Constitution matters little, because they are violating their rights,” he explained.
Finally, Calderón acknowledged that they are studying resorting to the Supreme Court to “intervene in the face of the infractions that are being committed in this process.”
