Martin Keown said on BT Sport 1 (12:22 pm, Jan 23, 2021) that he does not think Ryan Bertrand will leave Southampton for Arsenal.
The Arsenal legend made the comments while co-commenting on the FA Cup fourth round tie between Southampton and Arsenal at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
According to The London Evening Standard, the Gunners are considering a move for the 31-year-old England international left-back.

Arsenal reportedly wants a left-back to compete with Kieran Tierney and has identified the former Chelsea player as a potential target.
Keown said of Bertrand at BT Sport 1 (12:22 pm, Jan 23, 2021): “He has that experience. This is a young team here, so I don’t think it’s going anywhere.
Arsenal’s unlikely transfer in January
Southampton are doing well in the Premier League at the moment and could end up in the European places at the end of the season.
The Saints are unlikely to be willing to sell out any of their top players, especially this late in the January transfer window.
Bertrand plays regularly for Southampton’s first team, and while Arsenal are a great club and are playing in the Europa League this season, the former Chelsea player will know that he will play Tierney’s second fiddle at the Emirates Stadium.
