The house in Noordwijk was already labeled a ‘bad buy’ on the day before the move and turned out to be that. “We have people coming in the car all day long and then filming,” explains Erica. “And then people by bicycle. Groups with scooters. People who ring the bell, they want to be photographed.” Martien adds: “I don’t mind being photographed a hundred times in the Hoofdstraat in Noordwijk, but when I’m in my house I just want privacy.”
Maxime is surprised that her parents have lasted so long in the house. “If you’re out in the open it’s okay [om op de foto te gaan]. I also like that people like us so much and enjoy the program.
