Striker Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United. The 26-year-old French player has competed in just two games this season and has expressed a desire to pursue a career elsewhere. However, according to coach Ralf Rangnick, no club has shown interest in him yet.
“We had a long interview on Wednesday. He explained to me that he has been in United for seven years and would like to move on. I fully understand him, but we also need to look at the whole thing through the club’s optics. “where we have the highest ambitions. We need a broad staff.” Rangnick was quoted as saying by Reuters.
Martiala, a 69-year-old German coach, assured him that he did not want to hinder his development, but admitted that the club had not yet received any offers for him. The French striker has a contract with United until June 2024.
“So I told him that until someone showed interest in him and it was not only in the interest of the player but also the club, he would stay,” Rangnick added.
Martial came to Manchester United in September 2015 from Monaco for £ 58 million. He played 268 matches in the team of the current English vice-champion and scored 79 goals.
