Martial Décoppet responsible for SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland at Credit Suisse

The bank’s SME business manager in the canton of Vaud for more than 10 years also has access to the management committee of Credit Suisse, Suisse Romande.

Credit Suisse announces the appointment of Martial Décoppet as Head of SME Clientele for the French-speaking Switzerland Region with effect from 1is September 2020. On that date, he will also join the Executive Committee of Credit Suisse, Suisse Romande.

Martial Décoppet has more than 30 years of banking experience in the service of business customers. After starting his career with Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, he joined Credit Suisse in 2009 to take over the management of the SME business of the bank in the canton of Vaud. Managing Director, he is currently also responsible for the management committee of Credit Suisse Vaud. He will henceforth assume responsibility for all business with SMEs in French-speaking Switzerland, with the exception of Geneva activities.

Martial Décoppet will succeed Michael Willimann in this post. After having achieved a career of more than 30 years with Credit Suisse, the latter decided to leave the bank at the end of the year to devote himself to personal projects. His succession to the post of Head of the French-speaking Switzerland Region will be announced at a later date.

True to the spirit of its founder, Alfred Escher, Credit Suisse continues to expand its activities with entrepreneurs and more than 100,000 corporate clients in Switzerland. Last July, Credit Suisse was named both Switzerland’s Best Bank and Switzerland’s Best Investment Bank by Euromoney for the third consecutive year and was awarded the prestigious Best Private Bank for Entrepreneurs award, awarded by Professional Wealth Management ( PWM) and The Banker on October 31st.
