Martha Stewart’s ex-husband Andrew “Andy” Stewart and his wife Sheila Nelson Stewart have broken their silence about the lifestyle mogul’s claims in the new documentary “Martha.”

Andrew and Shyla shared their reactions in a statement signed by the pair and posted to Facebook ahead of the documentary’s October 30 release.

“Hello FB family – this will be my first and only public comment on this topic. This is the only place I am sharing this as I am not active on any other social media platforms. “Shyla wrote in her post. on her page.
She continued, “As you know, my husband Andrew Stewart – A brilliant publisher, professional naturalist and nature photographer, and one of the gentlest, most soft-spoken and kind people I have ever known.”
Shyla added, “No one was more surprised than us when, after being introduced as colleagues almost 12 years ago, our connection blossomed into a deep and everlasting love.”
“Through our shared commitment to the Earth and family at its center, Andy and I have built a life of beauty, meaning, productivity and purpose, infused with genuine love. We have a family of five wonderful adult children, three loving grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.”
She went on to talk about Andrew’s past, writing that she and her husband had gone through some difficult times before they fell in love.
“Before the happy times in his life, Andy had some dark sides, including some painful and humiliating moments. Marriage to Martha (Like Martha Stewart) It ended almost 40 years ago.” Shyla insisted.
She continued, “While Andy is quietly moving on with his life, Martha appears to be publicly reaffirming their marriage, including in a suggestive comment in the trailer for her upcoming Netflix documentary.”

Shyla added, “The juxtaposition of Andy’s childhood and the joyful, purpose-driven, loving marriage we live today is amazing.” “Every day we publicly express our gratitude for our love and our life together.

In the documentary, Martha recalled that Andrew, with whom she shares daughter Alexis, had an affair while they were married.
Martha claimed that Andrew “had many other girlfriends” and was “unsatisfied at home.” She also accused him of having an affair with her former assistant Robyn Fairclough.

In May 1993, three years after his divorce from Martha, Andrew married Fairclough, who was 21 years younger than him, but they later divorced.
