Martha died to skip the PS5 release? – MainlySports

It’s not every day that a studio abandons its PlayStation release plans. Unfortunately, this appears to be the case with the upcoming “Martha is Dead” game. The game’s new trailer suggests that it will be released on PC and Xbox Series X, but not on PS5.

Studio LKA announced Martha is Dead earlier this year, and its developers have likely entered into an exclusive deal with Microsoft. However, neither party has confirmed this.

Martha is Dead may not be released for the PS5 console

You can watch the interesting trailer below. A fair warning, however, this is not for the faint hearted.

In the trailer, we see someone carrying a stranded body from the shore to its lair. The unknown character then cuts off the woman’s face and puts it on like a mask.

At first glance, Martha is Dead will be an outright horror game.

Why this sudden change?

When they announced the game, it was very successful thanks to Studio LKA’s goal of providing photorealistic graphics. This is something the gaming community generally expects from top titles.

At the time, the developers of Martha is Dead spoke about their goals in an exclusive interview with Gamesradar. Oddly enough, LKA boss Luca Dalco had mentioned that the specs of the PS5 were worth working on.

« The specs for the PS5 are incredibly exciting – especially for us it’s the extra graphics power and the inclusion of ray tracing architecture.«

He also admitted to relying on the ray tracing technology of the PS5 to deliver photorealistic graphics.

And now it looks like they won’t be releasing their game on the same console.

Dalco had also mentioned that the PS5’s SSD capabilities would give them a boost with their gaming.

Does LKA’s abandonment of the PS5 mean that the Xbox Series X hardware was ultimately much easier to use? Or could it be because they couldn’t get along with Sony?

There isn’t much clarity on the issue, but we hope to hear more from them soon enough.
