Marta Ortega has joined the select club to which tycoons Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Elon Musk belong with the purchase of a Gulfstream G650ER private jet, the fastest in the world. It is the new version of one of the jets that Inditex already had at its disposal.

The €65 million aircraft combines a spectacular exterior design with a spacious and refined interior, where 100% fresh air is supplied every two to three minutes, while ionisation technology neutralises allergens and viruses. Sixteen oval panoramic windows – the largest ever on this type of aircraft – provide abundant natural light. It is built to be the quietest of any jet in existence, making it perfect for business with its peaceful surroundings. In addition, the handmade leather sofas and individual seats convert into beds for resting during the journey.

Gulfstream’s aerodynamic wing, new aeronautical technology and Rolls-Royce engines increase speed, autonomy and efficiency, meaning that the Inditex leadership will be able to make journeys of more than 10 hours without having to land to refuel, reaching speeds of 1,100 kilometres per hour.

One more reason why, of the 500 units manufactured of the model, which holds more than 125 world speed records, many are in the hands of businessmen of the stature of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who has two; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; or the creator of PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX, OpenAI or Neuralink, Elon Musk. All three have in common a prominent position on the list of the richest people in the world.

Amancio Ortega is also on the list thanks to his textile empire, in which some of his executives and employees have access to the aircraft in his fleet, which now includes the Gulfstream G650ER.
