In an official press release published on Wednesday January 6, 2021, theOlympic Marseille announces full support for the vaccination campaign against the Covid-19 and proposes to make the Velodrome stadium available to the Regional Health Agency.
Club employees ready to mobilize
As the club does not have the possibility of receiving its supporters at the stadium, “making it available to the ARS seemed obvious to us and all of the club’s employees are ready to commit to facilitating this vaccination campaign. “
The layout of the Vélodrome premises makes it possible to organize several spaces intended for pre-vaccination consultations and the vaccination itself.
OM very committed to the pandemic
Very committed to the fight against the pandemic, Olympique de Marseille has already promoted the wearing of masks, notably by broadcasting videos of the players relaying the message of respect for barrier gestures.
The club also contributes to the endowment fund for university hospitals in Marseille.
It remains to be seen when the volumes of doses necessary for a massive vaccination campaign will be available in Marseille and in the Bouches-du-Rhône.
