“Mars is approaching” … the red planet will reach the closest distance with Earth next Tuesday

Observers are preparing for the arrival of Mars to the closest distance with the Earth on October 6, and according to the Astronomical Society in Jeddah, the apparent size of the red planet increases, which will become larger through telescopes and brighter to the naked eye every night.

By October 6th, it will shine more than all the stars in the dome of the sky, brighter than Saturn and Jupiter, and rank second only to Venus.

In another context, the Institute for Space Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences announced that the Russian spectrometer installed on the European TGO probe did not find phosphine gas in the atmosphere of Mars.

“The spectral resolution of this device is very high, and it can detect even a small concentration of phosphine gas in the atmosphere of the red planet,” said Alexander Trukimovsky, a researcher in the department of planetary physics at the institute.

Available data indicate that phosphine is not present in the Martian atmosphere or present in a very trace amount, not more than 2 parts per billion.
