Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) unveiled its Travel Trends Forecast, a study that offers insight into how event planning and business travel is expected to evolve in the coming year. The survey, conducted by the firm 72Point among a thousand travel agents and event organizers in the United States, suggests interesting trends about how the preferences of agents and guests have been changing after the pandemic, and what they expect from the segment by 2024.
One of the data from the study is that Mexico leads the preferred destinations for both leisure and business trips, with 37% of respondents mentioning it as their clients’ preferred international destination for the coming year. They are followed by Jamaica (37%), Aruba (35%) and the Dominican Republic (34%).
“It doesn’t surprise me that Mexico is at the top of the preferred destinations for group travel organizers in the United States,” said Louise Bang, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Marriott International CALA. “It is a multifaceted destination that offers an incredible variety of cultural and gastronomic attractions, as well as options for group trips.”
He added that Marriott International’s portfolio in Mexico includes more than 270 hotels from 21 brands throughout the country, with the possibility of meeting the needs of any group and offering experiences that adapt to the demands of everyone.
Marriott uses this survey to optimize its offering throughout the region. With nearly 500 hotels from 22 brands in 37 countries in the Caribbean and Latin America, the American giant remains committed to offering unforgettable experiences and service that exceeds expectations.
