Married couple Unisba students become perpetrators of fake social gatherings. The two perpetrators deceived almost 120 people with losses reaching billions of rupiah.
This case went viral on social media after one of the victims uploaded the identity of the perpetrator and the chronology of the incident. Following are the facts of the incident.
The X account @d**pzly initially uploaded an alleged online social gathering fraud committed by a female student. In its tweet on November 1 2023, this account posted a photo of the alleged perpetrator of the fraud with the initials JZF (20).
The account also revealed that the alleged perpetrator of the fraud was a student at a private campus in Bandung City. Confirmed detikJabarthe owner of the X @d**pzly account admitted that he was one of the victims of alleged online social gathering fraud.
“That’s right (I am one of the victims),” said the account owner, as reported detikJabarFriday (3/11/2023).

2. Bodong social gathering perpetrators: Unisba student couple
A case of alleged fraud using the online social gathering auction mode occurred in Bandung City. The alleged perpetrator is a student at Bandung Islamic University (Unisba) who deceived hundreds of victims with total losses reaching billions of Rupiah.
The alleged perpetrator with the initials JZF (20) is known to be a resident of Babakan Ciparay Village, Babakan Ciparay District, Bandung City. His residence in one corner of the alley was visited by many victims who claimed to have been deceived by the alleged perpetrator.
Unisba confirmed the news. Unisba Chancellor Edi Setiadi said the alleged perpetrator with the initials JZF was an active student studying at the Faculty of Economics and Business class of 2021.
“Firstly, after being tracked in our academic information system, the suspected perpetrator is indeed a Unisba student who is system active,” said Edi when giving a statement to media crew at the Unisba Rectorate Building, Friday (3/11/2023).
Apart from JZF, another perpetrator of the fake social gathering was a man with the initials MAF (20). It is known that MAF is JZF’s husband and a Unisba student. MAF (20) is a classmate of JZF.
“Yes, this is FEB, so husband and wife are still active as students,” explained Edi.
3. The perpetrator is no longer active in college
JZF and MAF, Unisba students who commit fake social gatherings in Bandung it is known that he is no longer attending college. Unisba Chancellor Edi Setiadi said this happened after the alleged fraud case emerged.
“The alleged perpetrator has carried out academic trust transactions taking courses so that he is listed as a FEB (Faculty of Business Economics) student. Since the case started, the person in question does not appear to be studying anymore,” said Unisba Chancellor Edi Setiadi.
