“It was really a strong feeling, at times fun but above all helpful. I saw myself in my shortcomings and realized where I need to improve in terms of character and where I made a mistake with Ilaria. When we see each other again, everything will come out.”
There was a moment of Marriage at first sight where he said he could have done something different?
“Yes, more than once. Especially in the times when we were in conflict. Then I could have told her the real reason I was cold but then and there, in order not to hurt her, I decided to keep it to myself always.”
Was there ever a time when you thought you could build something with Ilaria?
“Honestly no. We had a lot of things in common on a character level – I always said this – but at the same time there were a lot of other little things that struggled not to find a meeting place. These are things that have always appeared when we weren’t filmed.”
Last time you heard from Ilaria?
«About a month ago, for the final divorce papers».
The conflict with Ilaria in the last episode was very strong: is that why, at the time, he was not able to answer her?
“It didn’t go exactly as you saw: my answer was very different, and I held back too much so as not to do too much towards Ilaria. It was added and done on my behalf. And here I stop.”
Is he seeing anyone now?
“I met a girl through friends and after a few months of dating we moved in together without thinking too much. To this day I get on well with her in everything.”
