Honda racer Marc Marquez finally talk about his condition after the accident in free practice 2 (FP2) MotoGP Netherlands. He admitted that he was lucky not to be injured even though he fell onto the asphalt.
The racer nicknamed The Baby Alien had an accident at the Dutch MotoGP FP2, Friday (25/6).
Marquez had an accident at Turn 10 when the Dutch MotoGP FP2 still had 35 minutes left. Riding behind Joan Mir, Marquez had a highside and bounced to the asphalt. However, Marquez was still able to get up and walk.
“First of all, I was lucky not to get hurt after an accident like that,” Marquez was quoted as saying Racing bike.
“In FP1 I came out smoothly, in FP2 I wanted to take a step forward. I was driving well, but then I fell”.
“An unusual flight. I didn’t cross the line and on that curve usually the electronics help you not to fly like that, but it happened”.
Despite the accident, the time that Marquez had made before the incident occurred put him in fourth position. Marquez is 0.319 seconds slower than Vinales.
The result was better than the achievement of Marc Marquez in the Dutch MotoGP FP1 who had to settle for being in ninth position.
