The Team Gresini rider underwent surgery to resolve compartment syndrome
The compartment syndrome in the right arm for which Marc Marquez was operated on yesterday by Dr. Ignacio Roger de Oña is a painful condition caused by excess pressure within a muscle compartment. The operation serves to free the nerve bundles and several riders have undergone it in the past, including Daniel Pedrosa.
The rider from Cervera informed of the surgery via Instagram: “In the second part of the season I suffered from compartment syndrome. We solved the problem this morning thanks to Dr. Ignacio Roger de Oña’s team, with the aim of being ready for the World Championship 2024”, explained the eight-time world champion.
