The bride looked every inch the blushing bride as she walked down the aisle in her breathtaking gown, surrounded by her nearest and dearest. Marnie’s fairytale wedding was one of the most highly anticipated events in the celebrity world and has left fans mesmerized with her stunning bridal look. Marnie Simpson’s wedding day finally arrived on March 22nd, after she and Casey Johnson were forced to postpone their nuptials in 2021 due to Covid restrictions. The former Geordie Shore star shared a selection of snaps from their rustic barn bash on her Instagram account, and looked absolutely stunning in not one, but seven dresses throughout the day. Marnie’s gorgeous brunette tresses were styled straight, with subtle curls at the ends, while her make-up featured a smokey eye and swipe of light red lipstick.
In one snap shared by Geordie Shore pal Chloe Ferry, Marnie appeared in a layered ruffled white dress with a cross detail bust and a layered halter neck tie, with two shoulder pad ruffles on the sleeveless detail. She completed her look with sheer gloves and a heart-shaped white encrusted bag.
Another snap showed Marnie wearing a busy satin white dress with a plunging neckline, now a mini dress, swapping her sheer gloves for matching satin ones. Her ample assets were on full display, and she looked absolutely radiant.
Charlotte Crosby also shared snaps from the big day, looking gorgeous in a mint green gown with a thigh-high split along her leg, as well as a small cut out on the side. Other former co-stars including Sophie Kasei and Holly Hagan attended with their respective partners.
Marnie revealed that she had taken seven dresses to the wedding, worried about stains and drink spillages; and she certainly put them to good use, donning three throughout the day. She looked stunning in a mesh-sleeved gown with a corset bodice for the ceremony, and then changed into a blush ruffled gown with elbow-length gloves, which she dubbed her favourite of the choices.
The TV star did not have much time to organise dresses for bridesmaids, so she decided to have a man of honour instead. During the vow section of the day, Marnie went for the most traditional of the three dresses, which was by Galisa Grace and had a cut-out bodice and matching veil.
For the reception, Marnie changed into her favourite dress of them all – a unique ruffled design with a cross-over detail. She had bought it before they even had a date and didn’t think she would get married in it, but she just knew she wanted it involved in her wedding one day.
Finally, Marnie changed into something more comfortable to dance the night away – slipping into a silk white mini dress from House Of CB. The brunette bride welcomed her old pals to the big day as it was a mini Geordie Shore reunion, and at one point, she forgot she was at her wedding – feeling like she was just on a night out.
Marnie’s big day was more of a ‘night out’, with things getting wild towards the end – which always happens whenever the Geordies are in town.
