Marlijn Weerdenburg won’t be best friends with participants DNA Unknown | Average

Marlijn Weerdenburg does not intend to become best friends with the program participants DNA unknown, which features in the new season. Weerdenburg says Veronica Superguide that he had to look for a way to keep a sufficient distance from people who are looking for their roots.

“I’ve shot several times, but I want to safeguard my professionalism. It’s not the intention for that person to think they have a new best friend,” Weerdenburg explains. “Also, I don’t like emcees who are constantly standing on someone’s neck and saying ‘honey’.”

The presenter takes the program DNA unknown about by Dionne Stax. Caroline Tensen presented the program for Stax. “Caroline’s warmth and feeling, it’s truly a gift. What a professional woman,” says Weerdenburg. She has reviewed many episodes and sent a message to Tensen. “She gave some kind of blessing and I really like it.”

Weerdenburg thinks Stax has given the program a more journalistic twist. “I mostly make it human, with a lot of compassion.” Weerdenburg traveled alone to and from the tapings to process the emotions of the programme. “With that I leave the emotions and the story of others in my car and go home fresh.”

The new season of DNA unknown visible from 18 January
