Markus Wostry is moving from LASK to Wacker Innsbruck

Markus Wostry (* 19.07.1992) started his career in Vienna at Favoritner AC. He went to Admira for the first time at the age of nine before joining the youth team at Austria Wien. In 2005 Wostry returned to Admira and played for ten years for the Südstädter. He made his professional debut in 2011 in the second division game against Wolfsberger AC, playing 129 times for Admira. Two years ago the step followed LASK, for which he played in league, cup and Europa League. He also ran once for Austria’s U18 team. Now is his next stop Wacker Innsbruck.

Die Statements:

Markus Wostry: “FC Wacker Innsbruck is a big club in Austria. I wanted a new sporting challenge and I am very happy to have found it in Innsbruck. I am passionate about the new task and want to help the association achieve its goals in the future! “

Alfred Hörtnagl: “After Stefan Meusburger dropped out due to an injury, we were looking for another central defender. In Markus (Wostry’s note) we have found the ideal man to fill this gap. He has played over 100 games in the Bundesliga and has already gained international experience. He was fully in training at LASK until the end, so he can help us immediately and should bring us the stability we need in defense. “
