Norway’s Markus Roth won the gold medal in the decathlon in the athletics competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Roth won the gold medal after sweeping the 1,500-meter race, topping the overall standings of the decathlon competition with 8,796 points, setting a new national record.
In second place came German Leo Neugebauer, after collecting 8748 points to win the silver medal.
Lyndon Victor of Grenada set a new national record for his country after amassing 8,711 points to finish third in the overall standings and win the bronze medal.
