Markus Lanz: The presenter in portrait
Markus Lanz is among the best known moderators of the country. Before his move to ZDF he worked at RTL, where he was, among other things, the face and editor-in-chief of the program “Explosiv”. He has been moderating his own talk show on ZDF since 2008. For two years he followed in Thomas Gottschalk’s footsteps and moderated “Wetten, dass…?” before the format was discontinued for a long time until the big comeback in 2021. It is also known for its many documentations.
Markus Lanz: Podcast “Lanz and Precht”
Markus Lanz has also been a podcaster since September 2021: Together with the philosopher and writer Richard David Precht, he talks about the socially and politically relevant topics of the week and time in “Lanz und Precht”. “In the podcast we can deepen things, reflect and reassess them a few days later. In a positive sense, a podcast is very reduced, focused and limited to the essentials: the voice,” explains Markus Lanz about the joint project. Every Friday there is a new episode from the usual providers.
