On Friday evening, a supermarket was robbed in Marktheidenfeld in the Main-Spessart district. At around 8:30 p.m., the employee left the supermarket on the Outer Ring through the staff entrance – the perpetrator was waiting for her there.
The perpetrator threatened the young woman with a knife and demanded that she hand over the daily earnings from the market. With the daily earnings, the perpetrator fled in the direction of the city center. The seller was unharmed. Despite a search, the suspect has yet to be found.
The perpetrator is described as follows:
- About 40 years old and 1.80m tall
- Strong and corpulent build
- Heavy Eastern European accent
- During the crime he wore a dark down quilted jacket with a red brand logo on the chest, dark trousers, a dark wool hat and a dark scarf
The Würzburg Criminal Police Office has taken over the investigation and is addressing the public with the following questions:
- Was there a conspicuous vehicle in the parking lot or in the vicinity of the supermarket?
- Did anyone see a suspicious person in the staff entrance area at the supermarket on Friday night?
- Did anyone see the perpetrator fleeing downtown around 8:30 p.m.?
