The following participants in today’s meeting of the Central Committee of SYRIZA, who are strongly opposed to both looming liquidation plans of the party (either the Kasselakis side that favors a small party that will defend a part of rights only, or the majority of 87 and of their other companions, which contributes to a small party-monitoring of other political projects), we are working for the unity and strengthening of SYRIZA and we agreed to explain our position in the voting of the amendments of the proposal, as it was pronounced in the following intervention by Mr. Markos Hadjisavva in K.E.
Following is the speech-intervention of Markos Hadjisavva:
Comrades and comrades,
Our attitude, which I will explain below, does not diminish in the slightest our political aversion to the phenomena we have experienced and are experiencing recently with the unreliability of the man who served as president of our party for 11 months, but also of those who are still bidding on miseries, foreign from the left and our authorities.
Those of us who believe that the president who will emerge from our collective democratic processes, will emerge in the light and with an open political process and address to society, who will honestly invite it to actively intervene and shape the terms of opposition to the anti-popular Mitsotakis government… and ultimately the defense of its interests…, we agree on the following:
We reject every bureaucratic trick aimed at exclusions and alleged vindications with second thoughts and hidden agendas.
What we fervently desire is open political and programmatic confrontation, in front of the eyes of those who are anxious (within and outside the party).
And because a small and multi-traumatized SYRIZA does not benefit anyone.
And because we are here today, because we respect the party and its processes… as well as the base we represent…, we declare that we do not legitimize with our participation and abstain from the votes regarding the amendments that we consider extreme.
