Marking 50 years since the launch of the 911 Turbo! Singer Reveals New Turbocharged Custom Coupe, Targa and Cabriolet – CarStuff 2.0.1

Singer confirmed his level of cooperation with car owners with a family photo showing four Porsche 911s redesigned to reflect personal preferences of Coupe, Slantnose Coupe, Targa and Cabriolet.

Singer founder and executive chairman Rob Dickinson said:

The 911 Turbo was launched 50 years ago. Since then he has been an icon of speed, a hero and a race winner, loved by drivers and enthusiasts around the world. We are excited to work with owners to celebrate this road and track icon and wish the turbocharged 911 Turbo a happy birthday.

Every restoration starts with the owner’s Porsche 911. Singer’s service provides the personal touch each owner needs when reshaping their car around the 964 chassis. Of these, only 25 are available for Slantnose Coupe restoration, and all quotas have already been claimed!

The revamped 911 is powered by an updated version of the original Mezger flat-6 air-cooled engine, equipped with twin turbochargers with variable turbine geometry and a water-air intercooler Increasing output horse power to 510 hp. Traction control and electronic stability control developed at Bosch,
Mated to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, power is transferred to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. However, each owner can customize the character of their car to their liking, for sport or touring-focused driving characteristics.
