Marketing is restructured – St. Blasien

(sb). The city administration and local councils look to the coming winter sports season with concern. The income from the ski lift operation is very important for the city (we reported). Local councilor Joachim Gfrörer, who is also the mayor of Menzenschwand, asked in the most recent council meeting about a certain advertising measure: In the past few years there has always been a booklet for the Feldberg ski area in which, in addition to all ski lifts, other service providers have been listed.

So far this year he has only received the information from the Hochschwarzwald Tourismus GmbH (HTG) that a flyer is to be created. If the more extensive information leaflet of the past few years is gone, he wanted to know from Mayor Adrian Probst, who is also chairman of the Feldberg lift network. In the past there was a pocket guide and a piste map for the lift network.

HTG, which had taken over marketing for the lift network, was responsible for this. However, the company terminated the corresponding contract. In addition, the association would have had to pay for the guide completely itself, since according to HTG no advertisers could be recruited.

Probst assumes, however, that the HTG’s winter sports flyer will present the ski lifts of the lift network, as they formed the backbone of winter sports.

Adrian Probst said that the lift network has not been able to build up its own structures in just over four weeks since the marketing contract was terminated. We are still working on it.
