Marketing and security chief gone: Various departures at FC Thun Berner Oberland

Late on Wednesday afternoon, FC Thun announced that Mirko Aubert, head of marketing and member of the management team, had decided to leave the club. The Bernese Oberland club wrote that Aubert wanted to develop further professionally. “By mutual agreement, he will resign from his duties with immediate effect after 8 years of service,” they said.

Just two weeks ago, the person responsible for media and communications, Damaris Oesch, said goodbye. And in the course of Wednesday, further departures were announced, as “BärnToday” knows from reliable sources.

Responsible for security also gone

There are three more departures that were communicated internally today, according to the source. It is unclear which employees these are.

What is clear is that the person responsible for operations and security, Tom Finger, is no longer working for FC Thun. He left the club a few weeks ago.

The upheaval off the pitch at FC Thun has already been announced several times in the past by the new financier. The company headed by Timetool founder Beat Fahrni is helping the Bernese Oberland team in financial difficulties; without the entrepreneur, the club would have gone bankrupt at the beginning of the year.
