Academos is a virtual mentoring application, which connects young people aged 14 to 30 for free with the reality of the world of work to help them find the job of their dreams.
Virtual mentoring is more important than ever at a time when young people are experiencing uncertainty about their future. With Academos, they can interact with a mentor wherever they are. The needs are also high, because the pandemic has had a significant impact on young people’s future plans. We are looking for a person who wants to join a dynamic, motivated team, where serious subjects rub shoulders with laughter.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The main mission of the social media and digital content manager will be to manage and feed Academos’ social media. He or she will have to create and coordinate original, relevant and engaging content, adapted to our different target audiences (young people, parents, education professionals), and ensure that our platforms reflect the values and mission of Academos .
Main responsibilities:
Content creation and management
- Create publications (texts, images, videos) adapted to our different platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and different target audiences in accordance with our content strategy.
- Produce or supervise the editing of short and dynamic videos, particularly for TikTok and Instagram.
- Plan and schedule publications on the different platforms, according to the established content calendar.
- Respond to comments and questions from subscribers on social networks, encourage positive discussions and moderate interactions in accordance with the communication strategy.
Analysis and optimization
- Monitor social media performance indicators (KPIs), analyze campaign results, and offer recommendations to improve engagement and visibility.
- Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices.
- Participate in the implementation and optimization of advertising campaigns on social networks, in collaboration with the marketing team.
Representation and events
- Represent Academos at events and kiosks in schools or other places, to promote our services.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that communication during events is aligned with Academos’ overall strategy.
PROFILE WANTED
Requirements
- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a social media management or digital content creation position;
- Excellent command of oral and written French, with a strong ability to adapt tone and style according to the target audience;
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience of the main social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X) as well as associated management and analysis tools (Facebook Manager, Google Analytics, TikTok Ads, etc.);
- Video editing skills, with experience using Cap Cut;
- Creativity and ability to produce original, engaging content suitable for young audiences.
Personal skills
- Excellent analytical skills, allowing lessons to be learned from performance data to optimize actions;
- Organizational skills, rigor and attention to detail;
- Autonomy in the execution of daily tasks, while being a team player capable of collaborating with different stakeholders;
- Ability to interact with online communities and moderate discussions in a caring and professional manner;
- Ability to represent Academos at public events, with interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to promote the organization’s mission.
FLEXIBLE AND HUMAN ENVIRONMENT
- 35 hours over 4.5 days, if desired to have Friday afternoons off;
- Salary range from $47,500 to $56,000 per year, depending on experience;
- Hybrid teleworking policy;
- Teleworking policy abroad;
- Access to a voluntary retirement savings plan (RVER) after one year (with employer contribution 1% of gross salary);
- Group insurance after three months on the job;
- Three (3) weeks of annual vacation and one additional day of vacation for each year completed;
- Paid days off between Christmas and New Year’s Day;
- 5 annual quality of life days (to be taken as a day for you);
- 4 additional bonus days each year, upon achievement of individual objectives;
- $500 to purchase equipment for teleworking, after 3 months on the job;
- $50/month of cell phone charges reimbursed;
- Office located in Old Montreal, well served by public transportation;
