Market: Juventus to ciblé Leandro Paredes

Juventus are considering signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes. His track is being studied as a potential replacement for Arthur Melo who will be absent early in the season after successful knee surgery.

The Brazilian will be unavailable for at least three months after surgery to remove a calcified scar from an injury he sustained in February. According to La Repubblica, the Bianconeri have set their sights on Paredes to fill in the gaps.

They offer a loan agreement with an option to buy at the end of the season. It would be a return to Serie A for the 27-year-old Argentina international, who played for Chievo, Empoli and Roma before his € 23million move to Zenit St. Petersburg in 2017.

He then joined PSG for 40 million euros in January 2019 and his contract with the Ligue 1 giants runs until June 2023. The Italian newspaper reveals that interest in Paredes remains linked to the fact that Juventus succeeds whether or not to get Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo.

They are fighting Arsenal for the signing of the Italy international. The asking price for Locatelli is 40 million euros plus bonuses.
