In Markelo (Overijssel), two young scammers were arrested after villagers had spread their description in Whatsapp groups. Shortly before, the two had defrauded a 69-year-old man by posing as a bank employee at the door.
The scammers were at the victim’s door this afternoon and said they needed his bank card on behalf of a bank. The resident gave the pass, but immediately became suspicious and went after it in his car.
On a square in the village he was able to run over the two suspects. It ended in a scuffle, in which the 69-year-old man was assaulted.
