Markaziya – The University of the Holy Spirit Christmas Market has opened its doors to the public

Holy Spirit University – Kaslik opened the Christmas Market, in the presence of the university’s rector, Father Talal Hashem, and members of the university council, on its main campus in Kaslik, with the participation of university family members to show the their small businesses and sell their various products that meet the needs of visitors, including supplies, food, sweets, drinks, and crafts, handicrafts and other products that can be selected as birthday gifts.

The celebration began with a Christmas parade that featured a musical show, spreading an atmosphere of joy among the audience.

The university has dressed up in Christmas costumes and decorations, lights and Christmas trees are scattered throughout.

Father Hashem expressed his satisfaction with the university organization of this event, “which is at the center of the great objectives it set itself 3 years ago, during the crisis in Lebanon”, considering that “despite all the difficulties, we must not miss the joy of the party, but rather we are determined to rejoice and celebrate”. Let’s move forward and hope for a better tomorrow. It is not the first time that we have organized this market, but this year it is characterized by a new look, after we decided to expand its area to include more pavilions and recreational activities, so that the greatest number of visitors can benefit from.”

He added: “In addition to what I have said, the main objective remains to remain in constant contact with our society, as the university not only issues certificates, but must be at the service of its society and try to develop it, and this is part of the principle of social responsibility to which we adhere. Today, this market sees more than 50 exhibitors from local small entrepreneurs, which provides an opportunity to partner with them and support them in selling and marketing their products, and is an opportunity for our students to benefit from these entrepreneurs and interact with them.”

This market continues until December 9, and opens its doors to the public from three in the afternoon until nine in the evening. Visitors were able to enjoy a series of entertainment activities, including a Christmas evening presented by the One Band, composed of students of the College of Music, at eight in the evening, December 6, in the Pope John Paul II Hall, and a children’s circus at six tomorrow, Wednesday. Thursday 8 will witness a show of Christmas characters.

The event ends with a presentation by the students of the Department of Dramatic and Performing Arts at 19:00 on Friday 9 December.
