Markaziya – Siniora denounced the attack on Al-Jadeed TV

Al Markaziya – President Fouad Siniora has expressed his “strong condemnation of the incident of throwing a bomb against the Al-Jadeed TV building this morning”, deeming that “this attack is denounced and totally rejected as it is a method used by some to intimidate media establishments.”

“The security forces must expose the perpetrators and hold them accountable, and not allow such an attack to happen again,” he said in a statement.

He added, “If there are any wrongdoings that may have occurred on Al-Jadeed TV, the Publications Court is the competent authority to decide on those matters, in order to preserve the freedom of the responsible press.”
