Mark Zuckerberg shook the web with a post.
He placed a statue of his wife Priscilla Chan in the backyard of their home. This was announced by the owner of Meta on Instagram, where he published photos and videos of the sculpture.
The author of the work is the sculptor Daniel Arsham, and the photo on the social network is titled: “We are bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of the wife.”
The figure of the woman is rendered in a shade of azure, with metal fluttering around her, illustrating the likeness of wings. In the photo, 39-year-old Priscilla is holding a glass in the same color as the figure.
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan met in 2003 while studying at Harvard University. In 2012, they held a modest wedding in their mansion, which was attended only by close relatives. They have three daughters. Priscilla is a pediatrician by education and actively involved in charity work. In 2015, she wrote an open letter to her newborn daughter, Maxima, in which she and her husband pledged to donate 99% of their Facebook shares, valued at $45 billion, during their lifetimes to their new charity aimed at funding health and education.
The family leads a closed lifestyle and rarely appears at social events, but recently made an exception for the “wedding of the century” – the wedding of the heirs of Indian billionaires Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani.
