O big Facebook data leak even exposed personal information from Mark Zuckerberg. With that, a digital security researcher discovered that the company’s CEO himself is using the Signal – main competitor of the WhatsApp.
According to expert Dave Walker, Zuckerberg uses the messenger rival with the intention of “protecting privacy with an application that uses cryptography from side to side”. On Twitter, he posted an image of the executive’s profile on Signal.
In another turn of events, Mark Zuckerberg also respects his own privacy, by using a chat app that has end-to-end encryption and isn’t owned by @facebook

The news comes at an extremely complicated time for WhatsApp. Messenger will block users if they do not accept the new privacy policy after May 15, 2021.
Due to the old history of data leaks from the Facebook, several users were already suspicious of the platform’s security level. As a result, several people started to migrate to Signal competitors and Telegram.
Even with WhatsApp clarifying that the certain terms apply only to business accounts, this did not prevent several people from leaving the messenger. However, more users can leave the app after the recent leak.
