Mark Zuckerberg Invents Sophisticated Gloves, Able to Touch Virtual Objects

When the user’s hand grips a virtual object, the actuators in the finger stiffen and create the sensation of holding something.

TRIBUN-MEDAN.COM – After turn Facebook into Meta, now Mark Zuckerberg again seeks to melt the boundaries of the real world and the virtual world that is often termed the “metaverse”.

Metta is said to be developing a sophisticated glove with haptic technology.

With these sophisticated gloves, it is possible for users to actually touch virtual objects.

CEO Meta, Mark Zuckerberg also showed off the sophisticated gloves on his personal Instagram account.

He said that, later on, users will be able to feel the texture and pressure when touching virtual objects.

“The Reality Lab Meta team is developing haptic gloves to create a realistic sensation of touch in the metaverse. One day, you will be able to feel texture and pressure when touching virtual objects,” Zuckerberg wrote.

This heptic glove has been in development since seven years ago.

This project is one of Meta’s ambitious projects.

These haptic gloves have about 15 ridged, blown plastic pads, otherwise known as actuators.
