Because we like thrillers with action, because Wahlberg always cuts a good figure as the hero and because his co-star is an Oscar winner, we are particularly looking forward to this Netflix film.

Now that’s an exciting star duo: Halle Berry, Oscar winner with action experience since the early “X-Men” days, and Mr. Wahlberg, who subscribes to rough, tough movies. The casting fits perfectly with the original story.

That’s what the action thriller “The Union” is about
Mike (Wahlberg), a construction worker from Jersey, can hardly believe it when he unexpectedly meets Roxanne (Halle Berry), his love from high school. But when he suddenly wakes up in London, he finds out that the surprising reunion has little to do with coincidence. Roxanne is with the secret service and needs his support for a highly dangerous mission.
In addition to Berry and Wahlberg, JK Simmons is also there – who we know from “La La Land” and the sci-fi series “Night Sky”.
The Netflix film was directed by Julian Farino, who directed the series “Ballers” with Dwayne Johnson, among others.
