Championship side Coventry City produced a cup smash when they overturned a 3-2 stoppage time victory against Premier League club Wolverhampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
However, Coventry manager Mark Robins was forced to the stake after celebrating the winning goal in front of the opposing team’s ball boy when he was provoked by an earlier situation.
– It was a young guy so I have to apologize to him. He had the ball the ball in his hand and released it and winked at me. It really pissed me off, but that’s a kid. I reacted, I celebrated the goal in front of him. I have to apologise, says Robins according to Sky Sports.
“They’re just kids”
On the other side, Gary O’Neil was not impressed with the behavior of his fellow coach.
– To celebrate right in the boy’s face was disgusting. I saw him (the ball boy) down there and he’s really sad about it. They’re just kids doing their jobs.
O’Neil continues:
– Of course it shouldn’t happen, but I can’t talk too much about it because I’ve lost and I’ll sound bitter then.
